This introductory DIWO workshop is a part of our continuous collaborative exploration for finding/creating/sharing multimedia errors.
The session is adequate for absolute beginners and will cover the following topics:
- new artistic ethics, methods and techniques
- image and video formats, codecs, containers
- liberating errors in digital systems
To participate you need:
- a computer with installation privileges and a network connection
- a bit of patience and a high tolerance to frustration
- an interest to experiment with(in) libre software processes
To participate you don’t need:
- a powerful computer or a particular operating system
- any proprietary software
- prior experience with digital media
No pre-applications are necessary!
