About
Fubar (/ˈfuːbar/, est. 2015) is a non-profit cultural project focused on electronic experiments and interdisciplinary research in glitch art theory and practice, as well as the processes behind contemporary collaborative and collective artistic production.
Run by artists for artists, Fubar was founded as the first international glitch art festival in Croatia and has since evolved into a year-round, transnational hybrid production. Following 10 iterations up to 2024, making it the longest-running annual event of its kind worldwide, Fubar now operates as the world’s first biennial dedicated to variable glitch art.
The program unfolds through year-round productions, ranging from performances and discussions to free public workshops and residencies, group exhibitions, film screenings and an interactive archive.
All activities are accessible ONLINE and/or AFK, hosted in venues in Zagreb (HR) and beyond. All events are free to attend and are archived and/or networked.
