MFRU [SI] – HIPERFILM
“MFRU-HIPERFILM” was a group project of authors from Maribor, Ljubljana and Belgrade, who first edited, digitized and cataloged the entire archive of the MFRU, i.e. through the development of film logic and editing and an understanding of online and archival platforms, the linear structure was transcended and opened up a new possibility of developing and monitoring the archival story in a new medium.
By transferring it to a virtual or online and inter/hyperactive environment, “MFRU-HIPERFILM” connects all the actors of the festival involved so far, or all festival editions. The viewer’s interactivity enables multi-layered comprehensive information about the festival, about the program content or about the authors, about a performative moment or an artistic artifact at the selected edition of the festival. The viewer inside “MFRU-HIPERFILM” becomes the researcher, director and editor of his documentary hyperfilm, his film about the festival so far.
“MFRU-HIPERFILM” as an organized archive and online database offers links to participating artists and events. The documentary multimedia collage is accessible, open and ready to be viewed from almost any point on this planet and is designed within accessibility standards for people with special needs.
Authors: Uja Irgolič, Marko Batista, Jože Slaček, Miroslav Ničić, Marko Ornik, son:DA.
The “MFRU-HIPERFILM” network-video-archive (2010) will be presented at the net.culture club MaMa, while the MFRU team will present their work and the upcoming festival via an online discussion (streamed online and within the MaMa space).
The event is being held at MAMA Zagreb and @ https://live.fubar.space
