Bee & Kaspar – Totally not a Speedrun of /’fubar/ 2o22
Bee and Kaspar will be giving an interactive talk with the video game of fubar 2022. Having a shared past of making glitch art together, curating and organizing events together, they share a similar sensitivity within the glitch momentum. If last year they did a slowrun of fubar, this year they have decided to do something entirely different : totally not be a speedrun. What this means is that they will be inside the video game, casually talking and doing a rundown of a selection of works, specifically axed on video works such as Lisa Cianci, JB Friquet, glitch photography such as Sabato Visconti’s work around Ecco the dolphin, tactical misuses of instagram around the works of Michael Betancourt, and also about what glitch means and what forms it takes for people from different countries. These artworks will be the vector to new discussions around both the meaning of glitch and it’s underlying mechanics and techniques that have or have not yet been unearthed. And if you ask for it in the chat, they will go a little more in depth and explain some of the underlying mechanics and secrets of things like video compression and 3d objects.
