infinite grid game
A DIWO session led by Ian Keaveny and Xavier Dallet in which we will learn the tools and techniques and places to play the infinite grid game. This will be a learning through doing workshop (Do It With Others) where the visual is more important than the spoken word. It’s intended to run from 19/08/2023 to 13/10/2023 or longer, as an interactive additive project taking place via messenger on desktop or smartphone from the Fauxbar infinite grid game Facebook group. Images will be shared, remixed, added to, taken away, glitched and reshared in a visually intuitive and surprising way, themes and memes emerging through the process.
Xavier Dallet, aka Chan Somethingstar
A net artist, born on 05 August 1980 in Villeneuve sur Lot. After spending his childhood in Senegal, he spent his teenage years in Caen, Normandy. From 1997 to 2006, he attended the fine arts schools of Caen, Cherbourg and Le Havre, and in 2015, l’Effet, a photography school in Paris, where he has lived and worked since 2005. Chan Somethingstar is a collective net artist, whose works are presented as screen captures. He is presented by two groups, the Perfect Users, and the Baobab Users.
