Show, tell and present 1+2+3
In the spirit of the original Fauxbar open call these are three sessions where “we can meet, talk, suggest and share ideas, experiences and solutions leading to online presentations, performances and workshops” – an opportunity to talk to other glitch artists, show off your work, share ideas and propose workshops/presentations in line with this years’ Fubar theme of ‘DIY’ and working from this modification of Wikipedia’s definition of DIY to fit glitch art.
“glitch art is the process of building or creating (coding, generative art, ai), modifying (hex editing, databending, datamoshing) and re-repairing (circuit-bending, device modification, misuse) without the direct aid of professionals (trained artists, curators, galleries, musicians, record labels, etc.) or certified experts”. Particularly important to this definition in relation to the glitch art community is the idea of empowerment, community seeking, uniqueness.
