Exquisite Glitch – collaborative glitch art session
Exquisite Glitch is an evolving collective|concept of international artists, programmers in collaboration, that Vedran Gligo initiated in 2016.
It’s built around the idea of the game Exquisite Corpse, in which each participant in the community creates a fragment of the final, collective work without having access to the whole. The working techniques of E/G emerge from the intersection of computing and digital cultural creation, with the aim of developing new contemporary methods of collaborative digital art and creating collective experiments that continually generate new, unexpected logics and aesthetics.
No previous experience is needed and all ages are welcome – we’ll be sharing tools, knowledge and inspiration.
Any glitch technique is welcome. We’ll be showing some of the scripting and transcoding approaches we use in creating Fubar.
The tools we’ll be using are free software, which means you can continue using them for your daily work! <3

Format C is a non-profit arts organization that, through open-ended transdisciplinary collaborative productions, inclusive open calls, open-access educational programs, and cultural events – initiates, creates, supports, and documents critical approaches to ethical production within the new paradigm of digital arts. We have founded and developed projects including Fubar, a glitch art program, and Pivilion, an operating system for uncensored networked art. The organization is led by multimedia artist Dina Gligo and interdisciplinary artist Vedran Gligo, who are also the leads of this workshop.
