“GLITCH CULT” n’est pas FUBAR.
dear #fubar_expo glitch fam
— we’ve been getting a lot of questions about another glitch art festival and exhibition announced for Zagreb in 2026, and whether it’s connected to Fubar.
short answer:
it’s not.
it’s organized by an international collective of artists who have participated in Fubar (but are not part of our team), and produced through an organization we were once affiliated with (but separated from long ago).
this new glitch art event also appears similar to early editions of our festival and is hosted at our old venue, which we understand adds to the confusion — but Fubar is not involved, and we’ve chosen not to collaborate.
as we move beyond our full decade of annual festivals shared with more than a thousand artists, and toward our first Fubar glitch & unstable media art biennial in 2026, our focus stays on safe, fair, inclusive and transparent production environments.
we choose partnerships that align with our artistic values, professional ethics, working principles and long-term commitments.
we don’t gatekeep glitch art, but we do define how we work and who we work with.
thanks for checking in && being a caring part of our community. 💜 glitch on.
yours forever,
fubar
