Glitch’n’Games – online stream from Night City Chicago
GLITCH’N’GAMES is a multi-day exhibition exploring the shared histories and evolving cultures of glitch art and video games. Its second iteration, held in Chicago, focuses on physical engagement with systems, bringing together artists, game makers, circuit benders, and theorists through competition, installations, discussions, performances, and collaborative play. Streamed talks feature Allen Riley, Rezidual Vizualz, and jonCates.
🟠 Allen Riley will discuss his dissertation, The Imagination Synthesizer, through a presentation exploring the history and future of video as a social medium.

🟣 RezidualVizualz will present an in-depth demonstration of ProjectOBJ, exploring his process of creating swappable OBJs, PNG textures, customizable controls, and other experimental worldbuilding tools for the PS2.

🔴 jonCates will give a flash talk centered on his new 《glitch.school》 publication, Glitch Art at the heart of Kentucky Route Zero.

Curated and produced by artist-researcher Bee Nix (SutureBlue), GLITCH’N’GAMES grew out of her MFA thesis, Glitch Play, which argues that engaging with the glitches of a system is itself a form of play.
